  • Game drives
Wildlife viewing and birdwatching game drives – in the expert company of experienced Il Dorobo and Maasai guides – are offered twice daily from Rekero. These can be tailored to specific needs and interests for astounding game viewing at every opportunity. We use closed game-viewing vehicles with rooftop hatches that allow you to stand, each equipped with power points so you can recharge your devices.

  • Cultural & community visits
Sharing the cultural aspect of the traditional Maasai way of life is a priority at Rekero. A visit to one of the neighboring villages, which are home to most of our guides, is a highly personal experience that the guides conduct with sensitivity to ensure it remains both unobtrusive and intimate.
  • Balloon safaris
Glide over the rolling plains of the Maasai Mara and the neighboring conservancies on a romantic and serene hot-air balloon flight, and see the wildlife below from a different perspective. (at an additional cost)
  • Protecting the big cats
Here you’ll find the big cats made famous by BBC and Disney. Learn more from a Kenya Wildlife Trust researcher about how we are trying to protect them. (Bookings essential.)
  • Horse riding
They say four legs are better than two, so what better way to experience the bush than on horseback? Ride out across the open plains with the wind in your hair and watch dazzles of zebra and towers of giraffe from atop your stallion.
