I wanted to set up a safari vacation for my mother on her birthday but I wasn’t very sure on places to go in Africa. However, AfricaSunset.com was very forthcoming with great ideas. I specifically chose the beaches of Dar Es Salaam since I wanted her to enjoy the suns much as she could. I was afraid of the logistics involved from what flights to Africa to take and even her ride to the hotel. Beyond what I expected, AfricaSunset.com availed a guide for my mother throughout her stay. It was the best gift I could give her and I thank the crew at AfricaSunset for making it happen.
I thought the wildebeest migration would be a bunch of animals jumping into the Mara river and making their way on the other side of the river. WRONG! I felt every thud the wildebeests made as they scrambled onto the banks of Mara river hoping to evade the crocodiles. I remember praying for this little calf that got separated from its mother. I was actually in tears and despite my good guide Joseph explaining to me that it is the course of nature, I felt really helpless. You cannot imagine my joy when I saw it swim and make its way on the other side of the river back. I felt ecstatic and was beside myself with joy. What a relief. Total respect to that calf
You do not know fear until your own life flashes before your eyes. This was my case when during an evening drive with Joseph and Erick our guides, I was in a group tour as I needed to make new friends, came across a hunt in progress. The lioness was posing to get a better view on an antelope some bushes away. As the vehicle, we were in came to a slow stop, we all hushed, holding our breath in the hope we could capture the details of the hunt. Suddenly there was a chase and 3 more lions came to view. We were caught in the middle of the action and there is no fear like knowing you could be the next meal. Erick slowly drove away but ensured we continued to have a view of the action. Sadly, the antelope was caught and the lions devoured it right there and then. Woooh!!! My heart was really beating but he assured us that we had the best guides with us was a relief. Thank you, Erick and Joseph.
Russia is cold during the early months of the year such as January. So, I wanted to spend my new year and a few weeks of January in a warm environment before I reported back to work. Africa was my first choice. To be in place where I have never been to and have an experience of a lifetime. I booked with AfricaSunset and got myself to the Giraffe Manor. Everyday there was heaven. With the giraffes walking slowly by, craning their long necks for a bite or two from me, I felt very humbled. I really enjoyed the warm sun and evening treks in the wild bush with occasional solo sundowners. If I were to take my vacation again, I would love to get to Kenya again!
Words cannot describe the rush of adrenaline I had in my visit to East Africa, when I saw two long and tall giraffes fighting. They swung their necks hitting each other at intervals and all you could hear were these thudding sounds that they made. I was beside myself with fear thinking they would kill each other but no! the fight last a few minutes and then one of the younger giraffes gave up and walked away. Actually, they both fed from the same tree munching the leaves away as if nothing had happened. I got it all on camera. My guide stood silent with me as I took it all in. It was a thrilling moment for me and one that I will not forget in a long time.
My husband and I were looking for a beach vacation in Tanzania and looking through the internet we came across AfricaSunset.com. They were very highly rated especially by honeymooners so we thought of giving them a try. Sure enough, the party started once we landed in Tanzania. They picked us up and took us to the hotel. That evening we went out in Tanzania on the beaches of Dar es Salaam and though we were quite tired, we had fun! There were local foods being served by very welcoming people. I asked for the recipe to the “mchicha” food as it was so tasty. We hanged out till slightly past midnight before we were taken back to the hotel. Great first night!
I wanted to go on safari with my family but I was not very sure if there was any Africa family holiday package that would cater for my kids well enough. Luckily I found AfricaSunset.com who recommended a safari across Kenya. The spots they recommended ensured that every member of my family enjoyed themselves. The most unique thing was the babysitting services which were great considering I had my 2 year old daughter on this safari and there were times we wanted to hang out with my wife just like old times. The highlight of the safari was kitesurfing and jetskiing as everybody wanted to do it. I loved it. I totally enjoyed my stay thanks to AfricaSunset.com.
I had learnt of AfricaSunset.com from a couple that had their honeymoon in Kenya. They talked of a personalized safari whereby you get instant quotes on places you choose to stay and activities you partake in. So I tried it out on my own and true to their word, everything was within the exact budget I had planned. I wanted to have some alone time with nature and they knew best on areas that could offer this. The Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater were the best places I have seen so far. The hot air balloon ride was incredibly captivating and I was able to see some herds of elephants. On my last day, I had a sundowner on a hill overlooking the plains of Serengeti and it took my breath away. Thank you, Africa, for such a delightful time. I will be coming back for more.
I was having my breakfast at Giraffe Manor in Nairobi when this beautiful giraffe craned its neck through the window and took a bite off from my hand!!! Can you just imagine the excitement I felt to be this close to nature? My goodness! You guys made it happen for me. I would never have known this piece of heaven if they had not suggested it. Looking at the selfies I took while there gives me nostalgia. Can’t wait to go back there next year!
The best places to visit in Africa and the top five star hotels and bush camps are in places so serene and beautiful that you need to see them to believe. My scuba diving with Joseph Kitita at scuba diving site Watamu Marine National park took my breath away. There was an array of fish that I have never seen. My guide helped take photos of me scuba diving and he captured a lot of details in them. Thank you, Joseph Kitita! Those photos have been the talk among my friends.
There are very few tours and travel agencies I would recommend anyone to use and Sensational Safaris Ltd is definitely one of the them! The fact that they had their services right from the time I landed until the day of my final flight, I commend you. Great work guys. You really made my stay in Africa a thrill. Everything from the activities I picked out to the places I stayed, everything was top shelf!
I totally fell in love with my safari in Kenya. The hot air balloon ride in Masai Mara Kenya was incredibly magnificent. I lack the words to say how good it was. The crew was forthcoming with information about what to expect and the African breakfast at the descent was sweet. I am definitely coming back for more experience. Asante!
I had the relief of a lifetime when africasunset.com gave me instant quotes of my vacation in Kenya. Remember I had my kids with me so I needed to know where to go in Kenya and what activities my children could enjoy. Well, we took part in almost every activity and the rates were very pocket friendly. We were fortunate to go hot air balloon rides with a sunrise setting. My children could not believe it when they came close to the elephants in the wild. Every day was an “aww” moment for my family and I and I am ever grateful for those precious moments you gave us
I had a memorable time in Diani and Watamu Kenya kitesurfing and scuba diving. I have always watched National Geographic highlight these areas for the best aquatic life and I wanted to have that experience too. AfricaSunset.com helped me set up a short vacation of four days and it was energy packed for the duration I was there. The waters at Diani have good waves for a kitesurf throughout the day. I had picked a hotel to stay just next to the beach so for me, I was in the waters most of the time. My last two days were spent scuba diving with Leon, a very educated guy about life in the waters. There were areas we went to see whales and even swim with the dolphins. They even provided me with a waterproof camera that could take pictures underwater. I really enjoyed my short vacation with you and I feel Africa is part of me now.
The beaches in Africa are beyond beautiful. The fact that the coastline had warm sunny weather almost every day I was in Watamu; ensured that we were basking, swimming, kitesurfing and occasionally having sundowners by the beach. I highly doubt that there is any past experience I have had that can counter this. Services were offered with a smile and I made new friends very easily. The easy planning for the trips ensured that we had a balance of excellent accommodation and thrilling activities. It was such a great adventure.
I have always envisioned myself visiting Africa at some point. Our dhow rides at Malindi were just surreal. The locals there were friendly and chatting me us up wanting to know more about where we come from. The local guide, Suleiman, took us for an evening dhow ride with the sun setting just in front of us. The next day saw us gearing up for the famous donkey ride race in Malindi. I should say, the ride was very different from a horse ride but the fun I had was beyond words. I would really love to explore more places in Africa. Thank you africasunset.com your suggestions were really great.
I am just taking my time to explain how wonderful and generous AfricaSunset.com was for our honeymoon. Zanzibar Island is the place to be if you are looking for that romantic getaway. The place is so quiet at nigh time that you can stare at the open skies for hours with no distraction. The ocean waters are still warm late into the night so if you are interested in a night dip, it is very okay. The hotels you get to choose are all five star with clean sheets for your bed, professional service and very hospitable people. I totally loved it. You also get to have a feel of the night life with Kendwa Rock Beach Hotel hosting a full moon party. You will totally love it. My experience with AfricaSunset.com was incredible and I recommend them to any new couple looking for an intimate experience together.
For our honeymoon we did a safari from Nairobi to the Masai Mara Kenya where we did a hot air balloon. AfricaSunset.com made it a perfect timing for us to see the great migration of the wildebeest. At our descent, the crew, Daniel Kabui and Gladys gave us a spectacular intimate meal for just me and my wife. They really went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed every day of our stay in Kenya. It was such a great way to enjoy our honeymoon. We have already decided to book with you for our anniversary and we can’t wait.
What captivated me in my stay was the African travel packages offered by africasunset.com. My choice was to stay at the Serengeti Serena lodge for their private bush camps that have a view to the great wildebeest migration. Their services were top class and the staff there welcoming. I learnt some phrases in Swahili which my guide was teaching me. I can now confidently call a lion “simba”. I felt so elevated to have a guide who was consistent in his knowledge of animals and birds and could communicate fluent English. Our conversations went late into the night as I could not get enough of my vacation. And I made very good friends there as we communicate very often. Thank you AfricaSunset for a great vacation.
My Africa travel involved a skydive over the Diani beach and this was an epic time for me and my friends. The skydive guides assigned to us were very friendly and they even made us forget our fear as we made our flight to the skies. The view was incredibly gorgeous from above and skydiving Kenya guides ensured we had fun. They made us form a circle holding hands. It was not as fearful as I thought it would be. I have been telling and re-telling this story to my friends that they even want to come a ride with you. I hope I can make it for another round of skydive in Kenya in the near future.
We had a great time team building in Diani Kenya. The coral reefs were amazing. Thanks to our scuba instructor Moses who was very attentive and patient with us. He showed so many aquatic animals it unimaginable. The 5 days spent at Serena Beach Hotel and Spa were great and made it a luxurious safari for my friends and I. Looking forward to another adventure with you.
My safari in East Africa was wonderful. I had a best vacation checklist in my mind and my expectations of how my stay and the services would be when I got there. I am happy to say that they exceeded everything I thought of and even over delivered on their services. I commend AfricaSunset.com because my African vacation cost was within my budget. Plus, the fact that you gave me choices to choose from, ensured that I had something to look forward to everyday. Everything was well thought of. I can’t thank you enough.
There are many ways to experience life but you need t take the route less traveled to achieve this. My safari in Africa especially in Kenya was beyond expectations. There were a lot of activities to engage in and new friends to make. Kenya is a very warm place and once I landed I went head on with my bungee jump at Sagana. It was impeccable and the crew very understanding of my fear of heights. I think I will do it again in my next vacation in Africa.
I had a great time viewing with the wildlife and epic scenery at Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania. I wanted to do my African safari by road and you guys availed a comfortable 4*4 cruiser and a guide – was in great condition btw! Needless to say, the journey had no hitches and the view was great. My guide was kind enough to point out some endangered species that the country is trying to save. The white Rhino was spectacular and larger than what I had in mind. I am definitely recommending you to friends and family who are looking for a real thrill in Africa.
I am not a fun of heights but my company paid for us a 5 day vacation at the best skydiving in Kenya. Imagine my thrill when I jumped off the plane with that float sensation. I remember spreading my arms and feeling the wind in my hair and face. It gives me goosebumps just remembering it. Oh! And they took a video of my skydive so I replay it almost every day. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
We did a Tanzania safari with AfricaSunset.com and also ventured for two days in Zanzibar Islands. It was an experience to behold. Tanzania is quiet a place to be and the people there are very hospitable. We did a visit to Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro crater, Tarangire and the Serengeti National park. The drive to all these places were awesome and crew very polite and understanding. We did a night camp at the national park and on our last day had a bush themed sundowner. We could not resist capturing the moments of the play of colors in the sky and Jonathan the driver was helpful in helping us with his camera. We were fortunate enough to see the big 5 in their natural habitat at Ngorongoro crater.
I finally conquered Mt. Kilimanjaro but it was not without the help of some AMAZIIIING guides and drivers through the journey. My experience with AfricaSuset.com leading up to the months of my trip was epic as they ensured to give me instant quotes of all activities that I booked for. Thanks so much
